Mold Damage in Marco Island

This condo in Marco Island was victimized by a mold infestation in the kitchen. The moisture buildup was caused by a lack of A/C usage allowing the humid interior to condense water. The condo was under a refurbishing as shown by the Before Photo. Our SERVPRO crew removed some base cabinets to cut out the damaged drywall, and inspect and treat the wall cavity. After applying an antifungal product, ensuring no leaks were dripping water into this area, and measuring the moisture content with meters and an infrared camera, we were ready to close up the wall. In climates like those on the Gulf Coast of Florida, keeping the temperature below 80 degrees and the relative humidity below 65%, mold growth is restricted.
